Trail Closed at Halsey
We have been informed that part of a trail has been closed at the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey.  The closed trail is a section of FS-201 from Circle Road (FS-203) to the Natick Camp ground.  Barricades have been placed on the trail.  The trail is closed because heavy rains have washed out the trail and caused deep gullies in the trail.  The re-opening dates is not known at this time.  We will inform you of more details as they develop.  All other trails at the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey are open.

Trail Re-opened

Scenic Trail at the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey:  The Scenic Road that has been under construction for the last ten or so months at the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey is completed and now open seven days a week!  This road is the link between the main camp ground and the Dismal River trail.  Work on this segment has been completed.
